Media: Trump approves new 28-point plan for Ukraine
World 11

US President Donald Trump approved a new plan for settlement in Ukraine this week.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this is according to NBC citing a high-ranking official in the American administration.

The TV channel specifies that the plan was developed by the US president's special envoy Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. They consulted with the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev and Ukrainian officials.

"The plan aims to provide security guarantees to both sides to ensure lasting peace. It includes what Ukraine wants and needs to achieve lasting peace," the NBC source noted.

Previously, Western media reported that the United States, together with Russia, is developing a new plan to settle the conflict in Ukraine, consisting of 28 points. They are divided into four blocks: peace in the republic, security guarantees, security in Europe, and future relations of Washington with Moscow and Kyiv. It also became known that an American delegation headed by Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll is heading to Kyiv.

Against this backdrop, the meeting between Witkoff and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Ankara was canceled after Kyiv refused to discuss a new peace plan with "serious concessions to Russia."
