Trump named the timeline for the completion of the operation in Iran

The US expects to complete the military campaign against Iran within the next two to three weeks.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to rbc.ru, this was stated by US President Donald Trump.

According to him, the operation may last for a limited time more, after which the American side will leave the region, as further involvement is not required.

When asked about the necessity of an agreement with Iran to end the conflict, Trump noted that it is not a mandatory condition. He emphasized that the initial goal was not regime change, however, political changes ultimately occurred in the country.

The American leader also stated that the key objective of the US was to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, and, according to him, this goal has been achieved.

In addition, Trump emphasized that the US does not intend to be involved in matters related to the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, other countries will be able to independently ensure the security of oil and gas supplies through this route.

As a reminder, the US military operation against Iran began on February 28. At that time, Trump stated that the actions were aimed at protecting American citizens and preventing a nuclear threat from the Islamic Republic.
