The cost of aviation fuel in India has more than doubled in recent weeks amid rising global oil prices.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to TASS, this is evidenced by data published on the official websites of the republic's state-owned oil and gas companies.
For the first time since 2022, the price per kiloliter of aviation fuel exceeded the 200,000 Indian rupee mark (over $2,100).
Information has also emerged that the Chinese airline Xiamen Airlines intends to increase the fuel surcharge sixfold for domestic flights.
A similar announcement about a sixfold increase in the fuel surcharge for domestic flights was published by the low-cost carrier China United Airlines.
