Mining and metallurgical industries to be developed in Azerbaijan - DECREE

A number of measures aimed at ensuring the development of the mining (metal ores) and metallurgical industry will be adopted in Azerbaijan.

As reported by AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree.

The purpose of signing the decree is to accelerate the development of the mining (metal ores) and metallurgical industry in the country across the entire product creation chain, to ensure the efficient use of mineral resources and the expansion of high value-added metal processing, as well as to increase the export potential of metallurgical products.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been tasked with preparing and submitting to the President of Azerbaijan within 4 months a draft "State Program for the Development of the Mining (Metal Ores) and Metallurgical Industry in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2027-2030."
