In Geneva, negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, and the USA concluded today
The first day of trilateral negotiations on resolving the Russian-Ukrainian conflict concluded in Geneva, Switzerland.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing TASS, the meeting lasted more than six hours.
According to Russian media, the parties communicated in Russian and English. The summit was held at the InterContinental hotel.
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis participated only in the open portion at the beginning of the negotiations. The meetings over both days will be held in a format closed to journalists, so no news should be expected following the first day.
According to CNN, the American side at the negotiations included, in addition to U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and White House chief's son-in-law Jared Kushner, U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and Supreme Allied Commander Europe Alex Grynkewich.
The Russian delegation was headed by Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky. Along with Medinsky, the delegation included 15-20 people, including Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Admiral Igor Kostyukov.
The negotiators on the Ukrainian side were Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Rustem Umerov, Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov and his deputy Serhiy Kyslytsya, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Ihnatov, head of the ruling Servant of the People party faction David Arakhamia, and Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Vadym Skibitsky.
The previous round of negotiations was held in Abu Dhabi on February 4-5.
