The Best Time for Exercise Named
Improperly chosen time for sports activities can not only reduce the effectiveness of your workout but also worsen a person's well-being. Julia Kaurova, a trainer from the WowFit online trainer search service, told Life.ru about this.
"Each person has their own 'internal clock,' and it's important to consider when you feel most energetic," she noted.
The trainer urged "early birds" to also remember about their hormonal background: cortisol levels are elevated in the morning. If you exercise at this time, Kaurova explained, the body will receive an extra load. All this hinders progress.
According to the trainer, sleep patterns also play a role: if a person goes to bed late but their workout is scheduled for early morning, this can cause stress and interfere with recovery.
Strength training is better done after lunch, when muscles are already "awake" and warmed up - this can reduce the risk of injury. In turn, evening cardio is not suitable for those who are sensitive to sleep: it can interfere with falling asleep.
