Longevity specialist Dan Buettner has urged minimizing the consumption of one product, as it reduces the chances of longevity. His words are reported by the publication El Confidencial.

Buettner stated that one of the most frequent recommendations found in studies dedicated to healthy aging is reducing meat consumption. According to him, people living in so-called blue zones with a high concentration of centenarians do not completely exclude this product from their diet but eat it only once a week.

Thus, there is no need to switch to vegetarianism in order to live long, the specialist emphasized. However, the priority should be plant-based protein, which is found, for example, in lentils and chickpeas.
