Five drones were shot down near an air base in Saudi Arabia
Five unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed near Prince Sultan Air Base southeast of Riyadh.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by the press service of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Defense on its page on the social network X.
"Official representative of the Ministry of Defense: five enemy drones were intercepted and destroyed near Prince Sultan Air Base," the publication states.
On the morning of February 28, the United States, jointly with Israel, launched a military operation against Iran. President Donald Trump, in an address to the nation, explained the American and Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic as a result of "exhausted patience" due to Tehran's unwillingness to abandon its nuclear ambitions.
Many cities in Iran were attacked, including the capital. One of the strikes hit the residence of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and he did not survive. In response, Tehran struck Israel and American military bases in the Middle East with missiles and drones.
