Trump's plans regarding Iran revealed
US President Donald Trump intends to contact the interim leadership of Iran sooner or later for negotiations.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is according to The Washington Post (WP), citing a White House representative.
"The president did not commit to immediately entering into negotiations with the recently announced ruling council and only said that 'in time he would do so,'" the newspaper's source said.
Earlier, Trump stated that Iran's new leadership is ready for negotiations with Washington. He did not specify who exactly approached the United States with such a proposal but said that he had already agreed to resume contacts.
On February 28, the US and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. Its targets included Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command facilities, airfields, drone launch sites, and air defense systems.
