The head of "Hezbollah" in parliament was killed as a result of an Israeli attack
On Monday morning, March 2, the head of Hezbollah's parliamentary faction, Mohammed Raad, was killed during Israeli airstrikes on Beirut. At least 10 people were killed as a result of Tel Aviv's attack on the southern suburbs, according to the Arab television channel Al Hadath.
Prior to this, representatives of the Hezbollah movement claimed responsibility for rocket and drone attacks on Israel. These were a response to the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The attack on Beirut occurred against the backdrop of Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stating that launching rockets at Israel undermines efforts to end the regional conflict. "The launching of rockets from Lebanese territory today at dawn is a blow to all efforts by the Lebanese state aimed at keeping Lebanon away from the dangerous military confrontations taking place in the region," the head of the republic noted.
