Iran wants to hold the US and Israel accountable for the killing of the country's leadership

The US and Israel must be held accountable for the assassination of Iran's leadership.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to RIA Novosti, this was stated by the official spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic, Esmail Baghaei.

"We must do this. And I think not only Iran, but the entire international community is calling for accountability. Because what the US and Israel have done is a crime against international peace and security," the diplomat said.

Baghaei emphasized that the Geneva Conventions of 1949 obligate all countries to comply with international humanitarian law. According to him, Washington and Tel Aviv have violated this requirement, and UN member states must advocate for holding them accountable.
