Azerbaijani judoka Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) started the European Championship in the Georgian capital Tbilisi with a victory.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, the Olympic champion defeated Konstantinos Tsaparas (Greece) by ippon in the round of 32.
It should be noted that yesterday, two of the 7 Azerbaijani judokas who participated in the competitions – Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg) and Turan Bayramov (66 kg) – won bronze medals.
The European Championship will conclude on April 19.
