Media: American aircraft carrier entered the Gulf of Oman 200 km from the coast of Iran
The American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln has entered the waters of the Gulf of Oman and positioned itself east of the Strait of Hormuz.
As reported by the BBC, according to European satellite imagery data, the vessel is located on the eastern edge of the gulf, approximately 200 km south of the Iranian coast.
It is noted that this is the closest approach of an American aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf since the beginning of the military operation against Iran. Two destroyers have also been spotted as part of the strike group, and a total of 11 U.S. Navy warships have been deployed in the Arabian Sea.
