British company Garmin, together with an international group of scientists, conducted a large-scale study revealing a direct link between happiness levels and physical activity. The results of this scientific work were published by the authoritative publication TechRadar.

In this unique project, world-class specialists from Harvard and Oxford universities, as well as experts from Garmin, joined forces. The smart watch manufacturer provided its high-tech devices for data collection, which allowed researchers to identify a significant relationship between sleep quality, physical activity, and subjective feelings of happiness.

Scientists convincingly confirmed that regular physical exercise significantly contributes to increased feelings of satisfaction and notably reduces stress levels. According to Garmin's data, there is a clear pattern: the more calories a person burns during workouts, aiming to improve health or achieve a desired weight, the higher their subjective feeling of happiness. Researchers also particularly emphasized the critical importance of full recovery and quality sleep for overall well-being.

During the study, an interesting fact emerged: respondents noted a significant increase in happiness levels while participating in cultural and social events, eating meals, and during communication with loved ones. In the future, the scientific group plans to substantially expand the sample to 10 thousand participants worldwide, the publication reports.
