Timeframes for the appearance of safe watermelons announced## Prompt Engineering

With the arrival of summer, watermelons begin to fill the shelves of markets and supermarkets. However, experts warn: don't rush to buy them - safe and naturally ripened watermelons don't appear for sale until the second half of July.
Most watermelons available in early summer are grown using growth accelerators and nitrates. Such berries look ripe but often don't have time to develop natural sweetness and can be potentially harmful to health, especially for children and people with sensitive digestive systems.
"The optimal time to buy watermelons is from mid or late July. It is during this time that fruits arrive at the market from regions where watermelons ripen naturally - without stimulants and chemicals," explains agronomist Viktor Samoylov.
How to identify a safe watermelon? Pay attention to a dry stem, the characteristic "hollow" sound when tapped, and a yellow spot on the side - a sign that the berry ripened in the sun. But cracks in the rind, absence of seeds, or overly bright red flesh are reasons to be cautious.
Experts advise: waiting a little means protecting your health. A watermelon bought at the right time will bring more benefits and pleasure.
