Where can one vacation inexpensively during the holidays?

As the Novruz holiday approaches, hotel prices become one of the most discussed topics for those planning vacations within the country.

According to BAKU.WS, hotels in various regions of Azerbaijan have prepared special offers for the holiday period.

Prices vary depending on the hotel location, services provided, and holiday programs.

In hotels in Sheki, Gabala, Shamakhi, Lankaran, Guba, and other tourist regions, the cost of double rooms from March 20 to 31 starts from 70 manats and reaches up to 500 manats. Prices may vary depending on the services provided by hotels, room type, and holiday programs.

Can the existing prices be considered normal?

Economic expert Khalid Kerimli, in a comment to BAKU.WS, noted that during holidays, hotels and catering establishments raise their prices.

"The essence of the issue is that demand is high. Many people want to visit hotels at the same time, which leads to a relative increase in prices. However, if you look at regular days, you won't see such high prices as during holidays.

In the tourism sector, in hotels, catering, and entertainment, there is some increase in prices during this period. This is due to increased demand and is actually perceived as a normal phenomenon. It would be wrong to blame entrepreneurs for this. Because on other days, the number of people visiting hotels is not so large. On such days, hotels are forced to adjust their prices.

While some hotels provide only accommodation services, others offer show programs appropriate for the Novruz holiday, samples of national cuisine, and entertainment events. These factors also affect prices," noted K. Kerimli.

Alternatives and more affordable options

Although these prices may seem high for some citizens, they can turn to alternative options:

Rural tourism – family guest houses in the regions offer more affordable prices.

Rented houses – daily house rental options in some cases are cheaper than hotels.

Sanatoriums and recreation centers – some wellness centers also put forward special offers during holidays.

Tourism experts recommend those planning holidays during festive days to book in advance, as places fill up quickly, and prices may rise even more at the last moment. At the same time, by comparing offers from various hotels and guest houses, one can make the most suitable choice.
