Two men rushed to save a drowning disabled child and drowned themselves
In Japan, two men jumped into a river to save a young man with disabilities and drowned. This is reported by Japan Today (JT).
The tragic incident occurred in the town of Kamikatsu, Tokushima Prefecture, on July 5. An organization that helps children with disabilities organized an event for their charges at a campsite on the banks of the Katsuura River.
At around two o'clock in the afternoon, a 42-year-old employee of the organization and an 18-year-old graduate noticed that a teenager swimming in the river began to drown. The men jumped into the water to help him, but they were caught by a strong current and carried away.
