Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan addressed the population

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of Azerbaijan has addressed the population regarding fire safety issues, reports BAKU.WS.

The statement notes that in recent days, against the background of rising air temperatures across the country, there has been an increase in fire incidents in open spaces, including in mountainous and foothill areas. Only thanks to the prompt measures taken by the State Fire Protection Service of the MES, these fires are being quickly extinguished, preventing their spread and serious consequences.

Investigations conducted by specialists of the State Fire Supervision Service of the MES regarding these fires have shown that they mainly occur as a result of careless handling of fire by some citizens.

Considering the above, as well as the fact that rising air temperatures increase the risk of fire spread, the MES appeals to citizens to strictly observe fire safety rules, including careful handling of fire and avoiding situations that could lead to fires.
