Former participant of Səs Azərbaycan was killed on the border of Mexico and the USA

Azerbaijani singer Albina Pyaksheva has passed away.

As BAKU.WS reports with reference to Oxu.az, this was announced by the director of Baku Jazz Festival Leyla Efendieva on her Facebook account.

"Albina Pyaksheva (born 1993) was killed at the border of Mexico and the USA while attempting to cross a checkpoint," the publication states.

We should add that Pyaksheva was a finalist in the I am Jazzman young performers competition as part of the Baku Jazz Festival, and participated in the Səs Azərbaycan ("Voice of Azerbaijan") program.
