Interior Ministry Operation: 14 kg of drugs trafficking prevented

Employees of the Sumgayit City Police Department, during another anti-drug trafficking operation, detained 44-year-old Renad Sultanov, who had previously served time for a similar crime.
As reported by Baku.ws, this was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During the search, about 14 kg of drugs, including marijuana and heroin, as well as 79 tablets of the psychotropic substance methadone were found and seized from the detainee.
As Sultanov confessed, he received the drugs from an Iranian citizen whom he met on social networks. The drugs were hidden in a pre-arranged hiding place. The detainee had already collected the drugs and planned to distribute them to different addresses for further distribution.
An investigation is underway regarding this incident. Law enforcement agencies continue measures to identify and bring to justice other members of the drug network to which Renad Sultanov belonged.
