Death of "Miss Europe-Kosovo": Beauty, alcohol and tragedy on the Giresun highway

Tragic death of "Miss Europe-Kosovo": what happened on the night of April 1 in Giresun
On the night of April 1, a tragedy occurred in the Turkish city of Giresun, claiming the life of 27-year-old model Güler Erdogan, holder of the prestigious title "Miss Europe-Kosovo". The young woman came to her hometown to celebrate Eid al-Adha with her family, but the holiday turned into tragedy.
According to CNN Türk, on that fateful night, Güler went to a nightclub with her friends, where she celebrated the end of the holy month of Ramadan. After a fun evening, the young woman got behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated and crashed into a police checkpoint.
An alcohol test conducted at the scene showed 1.70 per mille of alcohol in her blood - significantly exceeding the permissible limit. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Erdogan tried to escape. She abandoned the car and ran toward an overpass, where, by a tragic coincidence, she lost her balance and fell onto the roadway. A passing car couldn't brake in time, and the young woman died under its wheels.
Turkish law enforcement agencies have begun investigating the circumstances of the tragedy. According to preliminary data, Güler Erdogan previously had mental health issues, which could have influenced her behavior in the critical situation.
Güler Erdogan was known not only as a beauty pageant winner, but also as a successful model who collaborated with several famous brands. Her tragic death came as a real shock to fans and colleagues in the modeling business.
