Will Armenia close the 102nd Russian military base after signing a treaty with Azerbaijan?

According to some reports, a provision has appeared in the text of the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to which no military base of any other state can be located on the territory of the Republic of Armenia. This means that after the signing of the interstate agreement, the Russian 102nd military base is subject to withdrawal from the country's territory.
This is reported by the newspaper "Hraparak".
"It remains unclear how this will be implemented in practice, given that the base in Gyumri was established in 1995 on the basis of an interstate agreement. Initially, the military cooperation agreement between Armenia and Russia was concluded for a period of 25 years. In 2010, during Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's visit to Armenia, the agreement was extended for another 49 years - until 2044.
Nevertheless, according to available information, the very fact that such a provision appeared in the draft treaty caused serious discontent on the part of the Russian authorities. This probably explains the cold reception given to Prime Minister Pashinyan on May 9 in Moscow, as well as the absence of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the two-day visit to Moscow, Pashinyan did not hold bilateral talks with either Putin or other leaders of countries who arrived to participate in the festive events.
It is noteworthy that on the eve of the visit, responding to criticism, Pashinyan hinted that one of the goals of the trip was precisely to meet with the Russian president. We remind you that Vladimir Putin held separate meetings with most of the arriving heads of state that day," the newspaper writes.
