"One of our greatest values is the beautiful city of Baku. Everyone must show a careful attitude toward preserving the historical and architectural appearance of our major cities, towns, and villages."

This was stated in a comment to BAKU.WS by Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences, political analyst Shabnam Hasanova.

According to her, today Azerbaijan, and especially Baku - the city attracting the largest number of tourists - ranks among the exemplary capitals of the world in terms of security:

"Our cities and settlements are also safe. It is precisely because of this that Azerbaijan is held up as an example, and our country attracts enormous interest and sympathy. Baku is rightfully considered one of the cleanest and most beautiful capitals in the world. That is why careless damage to historical buildings and distortion of their exterior appearance is an extremely misguided approach.

In this matter, enormous responsibility lies not only with the state but also with society. Society must act consciously, and parents must guide their children in the right direction. Baku should be famous for its cleanliness and beauty, not for unsightly inscriptions and drawings. Such manifestations are disrespect toward our values, real vandalism. At the same time, such thoughtless actions represent a dismissive attitude toward the resources invested in the development of the state and the city."

The expert also emphasized that young people are obligated to show responsibility and demonstrate exemplary behavior:

"Modern technologies open up countless opportunities for young people to develop themselves. One of the key points is learning to respect other people's labor. Spoiling the beauty of the city is not creativity but destructive behavior. Parents must seriously monitor their children's behavior.

One of the main pillars of the state and society is ideological resilience, and in this context, fostering respect for property, aesthetic taste, and a sense of responsibility among young people is of paramount importance. Knowing how a child behaves outside the home is the direct duty of every parent."
