The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan confirmed the completion of negotiations on the text of the peace treaty with Armenia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan also confirmed the completion of negotiations on the text of a peace treaty with Armenia.
The corresponding statement was published on the ministry's website.
"We note with satisfaction that negotiations on the draft text of the Agreement on Peace and Establishment of Interstate Relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia have been completed.
We also reaffirm Azerbaijan's long-term and principled position that amending the Constitution of Armenia aimed at eliminating claims to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is a necessary condition for signing the agreed text. Furthermore, we emphasize the need for the official abolition of the outdated and non-functional Minsk Group and related OSCE structures.
We are ready to continue bilateral dialogue on these and other issues related to the process of normalizing relations between the two countries," the statement says.
