President of Azerbaijan received the Minister of State for Defence of the United Kingdom

On September 30, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AR) Ilham Aliyev received Minister of State for Defence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Lord Vernon Coaker.

As reported by BAKU.WS, expressing gratitude for the reception, the guest noted that it was a great honor for him to be in our country and to meet with the President of Azerbaijan.

Touching upon the significance of the ADEX 2026 and Securex Caspian exhibitions held in Baku, Lord Vernon Coaker noted his country's interest in participating in these events. He thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the high level of organization of the exhibitions.

Stating that Azerbaijan is a very important friendly country for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the guest emphasized the interest in continuing this friendship.

Thanking Lord Vernon Coaker for participating in the exhibitions, the head of state said that the ADEX exhibition has been an important international event for many years.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that a new page is opening in the bilateral partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom — cooperation in the field of the defense industry.

The head of state noted that investments in the defense industry have been made in our country for more than 20 years, and production of goods both for domestic consumption and for export has been established in this field. Touching upon the prospects of cooperation with leading companies regarding the supply of modern weapons and equipment to Azerbaijan, as well as the creation of joint ventures in our country, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of partnership with the United Kingdom in this regard.
