Netanyahu commented on the incident with the Flydubai flight

The situation with the Flydubai aircraft, operating a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv and forced to land in Saudi Arabia, is under control. This was stated by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Channel 12, Israeli authorities are taking the necessary measures to ensure the safe return of passengers to the country. Netanyahu's office emphasized that all necessary steps are currently being taken to bring the Israelis back home.

On the morning of September 30, the Flydubai aircraft first transmitted a distress signal 7700, and then transmitted code 7500, which is used in the event of a possible aircraft hijacking. Communication with the crew was lost for several minutes before being restored.

As it approached Tel Aviv, the aircraft abruptly changed course and began moving away from the city. The aircraft was redirected to Saudi Arabia and landed at around 11:00 AM Baku time. During the flight, it was escorted first by Israeli and then by Saudi fighter jets.

According to the TV channel, a conflict broke out between the pilots, which escalated into a physical fight, after which the 7700 signal was activated. The airline confirmed the conflict and reported that the altercation continued until one of the pilots lost consciousness.
