President: Strengthening defense capability is one of the priority directions of Azerbaijan's state policy

Strengthening defense capability and ensuring national security are among the priority areas of Azerbaijan's state policy.

As reported by AZERTAC, this was stated in the address of President Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX 2026 and the 15th Anniversary International Exhibition "Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment" - Securex Caspian 2026.

"The defense industry of our country, having undergone significant development as a result of consistently implemented measures, has today entered a qualitatively new stage and significantly expanded its production capabilities. Defense products manufactured at local enterprises, while playing an important role in equipping our Armed Forces, are also competitive in international markets and are received with particular interest by relevant structures of various countries. Azerbaijan's achievements in the field of defense industry serve to strengthen the military-technical potential of our country and deepen cooperation with friendly and partner states," the address states.
