Pezeshkian's visit to Khankendi became a blow to the anti-Azerbaijani bloc in Iran

"After the current leadership of Iran came to power, especially during Pezeshkian's rule, a new trajectory of foreign policy is observed".
This was stated by well-known political scientist Aziz Alibeyli in a conversation with BAKU.WS.
According to him, this is due to the fact that Iran's traditional conservative view has led to the creation of anti-Iranian blocs in the region.
"In short-term clashes and wars, Iran received a serious blow. This was the case in both Syria and Lebanon. In the further course of the process, we observed how most of the radical groups associated with Iran were defeated by Israel and the United States. The culmination of this was the Iran-Israel war," noted Aziz Alibeyli.

According to the political scientist, all this shows that Iran's regional positions have been seriously damaged:
"Pezeshkian's views as a supporter of the new line are aimed at integrating Iran with the countries of the region and developing economic relations for the sake of economic well-being. We can talk about a new stage of special relations with Azerbaijan. Especially his trip to Khankendi to participate in the event of the Economic Cooperation Organization was a big blow to the anti-Azerbaijani blocs formed in Iran. At the subsequent stage of the process, we saw that Pezeshkian's views are not directed against Azerbaijan. He somewhat blamed his own foreign policy for the deterioration of relations. If a brotherly country with a common history is closer to Israel than to us, it means we have shortcomings.
In addition, Pezeshkian's coming to the forefront at the stage of the agreement with the United States and the thoughts expressed by him on the eve of the president's visit to America gave rise to the opinion that the probability of Iran establishing relations with both America and Israel through Azerbaijan is higher. This experience has always been reflected in Azerbaijan's foreign policy".
