Messi may be stripped of one of the most prestigious awards

Argentina and Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi may be stripped of the Princess of Asturias Award, which he received for achievements in the field of sports.

As reported by Diario De Navarra, users of the Change.org platform have submitted 30 petitions to the "Foundation of the Principality of Asturias" on this matter.

The reason for the mass campaign was Messi's behavior during the World Cup. The authors of the petitions believe that the forward's actions in the final match against Spain, as well as during the award ceremony, did not align with the principles of respect and sportsmanship.
