Relations with Central Asian countries are one of the priorities of Azerbaijan's foreign policy.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at the informal meeting of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries held in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata.
The head of state noted that from the beginning of 2023 to the present day, he has visited the brotherly Central Asian countries a total of 16 times, while his counterparts from Central Asian states have visited Azerbaijan 26 times. "This statistic speaks better than anything about the dynamics, about the closeness of relations, and about the fact that today Central Asia and Azerbaijan have already become one geopolitical and geoeconomic region," President Ilham Aliyev added.
