Azerbaijani "Qarabag" finished their run in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, losing to Bulgarian CSKA (Sofia).
The second leg, held at the "Vasil Levski" stadium, ended in a draw - 0:0. The first match, which took place in Baku, also ended with the same score.
Since neither in regular time nor in extra time were the teams able to score against each other, the winner was determined in a post-match penalty shootout. The home side proved more accurate, winning 5:4 and advancing to the third qualifying round of the Europa League.
It should be noted that the team under the guidance of Gurban Gurbanov will continue their European campaign in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, where they will face Dynamo Kyiv (Ukraine).
As a reminder, the third qualifying round matches of the UEFA Conference League will take place on August 6 and 13.
