Baku TV gave a sharp response to Mikhalkov's absurd and provocative statements
On August 1, another episode of Nikita Mikhalkov's author project was released on his notorious "Besogon TV." Alas, in recent years, the once one of the best Soviet and Russian directors, who worked, by the way, on more than one film in tandem with the great Azerbaijani writer and screenwriter, the late Rustam Ibragimbekov, has plunged into games with political propaganda.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this is stated in a Baku TV RU story.
"The project, odious for some, filled with conspiracy tales for others, is nevertheless created strictly in accordance with instructions from above. It never seriously goes against the position of the country's leadership.
So, the August 1 episode was dedicated to the "ungrateful" former Soviet republics, particularly Azerbaijan.
Mikhalkov's tone, glorifying the Soviet past, which was in his opinion "absolute grace for all peoples," may seem convincing to those who have not heard his passionate speeches condemning "everything Soviet." Isn't this the same Mikhalkov who fervently glorified autocracy, spoke about democratic values, and showered compliments on Yeltsin and his entourage? And how he participated in Boris Berezovsky's election campaign in 1999? According to the then, not yet "Besogon," Mikhalkov, he wouldn't have enough fingers on both hands to count the leading world politicians who didn't communicate with Berezovsky," the material notes.
