Foreign Minister: The start of the TRIPP process is expected in 2027
The main negotiations on the TRIPP project (Trump Route) are being conducted between the USA and Armenia, however its implementation without Azerbaijan's participation is impossible.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov to journalists on the sidelines of the high-level opening of the IV Climate Week (CW4) in Baku.
According to the Foreign Minister, American partners regularly inform the Azerbaijani side about the progress of negotiations.
"The main negotiations on TRIPP are being conducted between the USA and Armenia, and this is natural. At the same time, American partners regularly inform Azerbaijan, since the implementation of the project without our country's participation is impossible. According to the information provided to us, the process is successfully continuing," Bayramov said.
The minister stated that previously the start of the process was expected before the end of this year, however, according to the latest information, it is planned for 2027.
"We consider this project very important for Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the entire region, as well as for international partnership," he emphasized.
Bayramov also reported that Azerbaijan has already begun the restoration of railways on the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
According to him, there are international partners interested in participating in this project. At the same time, Azerbaijan is independently taking the necessary steps for its implementation.
