Azerbaijani Elvira Hasanova Created Zelenskyy's Style

Ukrainian designer of Azerbaijani origin Elvira Hasanova, who created Vladimir Zelensky's look for his meeting with Donald Trump, believes that politicians don't need classic suits in wartime. This is reported by Financial Times.

"He is a wartime leader", - Hasanova emphasized. In her opinion, clothing becomes not just an element of style, but a symbol of solidarity with the people.

At the Oval Office meeting, Zelensky wore a long-sleeved polo with an embroidered trident - Ukraine's national emblem. The designer noted that this style sets a new standard of leadership in the 21st century: "He is a strong personality, and his image is part of his message to the world".

Hasanova is convinced that formal suits are inappropriate in wartime when soldiers are on the frontline and civilians are in shelters: "This is more than fashion, it's communication".

The designer also revealed that she had made a jacket for Zelensky several months ago, thinking it might be needed for an inauguration, but the president never had to wear it. She emphasized that Zelensky doesn't pay attention to his wardrobe and doesn't have a personal stylist.

It's worth noting that during the meeting with Trump, Zelensky's style was criticized, but over time it became recognizable and symbolic, reflecting the challenges Ukraine has faced.
