Two common childhood habits were named as cancer provocateurs
Regular consumption of fast food and the habit of constantly damaging mucous membranes, formed as early as childhood, may increase the likelihood of developing oncological diseases in the future. This warning was issued by general practitioner Andrey Zvonkov.
As reported by BAKU.WS citing "Abzats," the specialist noted that one of the most dangerous habits is replacing proper nutrition with fast food products. According to the Russian expert, a systematic passion for fast food can cause chronic inflammatory processes in the gastrointestinal tract. Over time, this can lead to the development of gastritis and gastroduodenitis, and subsequently increase the risk of malignant tumors.
The doctor emphasized that occasional consumption of burgers, hot dogs, or other similar food does not pose a serious threat to health. However, a constant diet based on such products can negatively affect the body's condition and increase the likelihood of developing oncological diseases.
Zvonkov also identified another concerning habit — the regular damage to the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, lips, or digestive organs. According to him, the constant disruption of tissue integrity creates favorable conditions for pathological changes in cells and thereby increases the risk of developing cancer.
The expert emphasized that to reduce such risks, it is important from an early age to maintain a balanced diet and avoid factors that can cause chronic irritation or damage to mucous membranes.
