WHO Chief Stated the Inevitability of a New Pandemic

The head of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, made an alarming statement at the 13th session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB): a new pandemic will inevitably occur, and the global community must be prepared for it.
Ghebreyesus emphasized that the emergence of the next pandemic is not a hypothetical scenario or a distant threat – it is an "epidemiological certainty" that humanity will have to face.
"It will happen, and in any case, we must be ready," said the WHO head, as quoted by TASS.
The leader of the international organization expressed firm confidence in the need to reach a consensus on a pandemic agreement. In his opinion, such a document will not limit, but, on the contrary, will strengthen the national sovereignty of states, while ensuring coordination of international actions in a crisis situation.
It is worth noting that this is not the first such warning – earlier, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus had already called on the global community to actively prepare for the possibility of a new global pandemic.
