The Epstein case files: a famous physicist's name mentioned more than 250 times
Newly published documents in the Jeffrey Epstein case contain references to the famous British physicist Stephen Hawking.
This was reported by The Sun.
Among the materials was a previously circulated photo from the internet showing the scientist reclining on a sun lounger next to two girls in bikinis holding cocktails. It is noted that the photo was presumably taken on a tropical island, but the exact location and date are unknown.
The photograph was included in a new batch of documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Hawking had previously appeared in photos from Little St. James Island, which is linked to Epstein. In March 2006, the scientist visited the U.S. Virgin Islands along with a group of 21 researchers who attended a scientific conference funded by Epstein.
During this trip, Hawking was photographed at a barbecue with other participants, as well as during an underwater excursion — a specially modified submersible allowed the scientist, who used a wheelchair due to motor neuron disease, to dive underwater.
The connections between S. Hawking and J. Epstein before and after this trip remain unclear, and no photographs of the scientist and the financier together have been found. At the same time, Hawking's name is mentioned in the published documents more than 250 times — it is emphasized that the mere fact of being mentioned does not imply involvement in any unlawful activity.
