Smuggling of 132 Labubu toys prevented in Turkey

During operations by the Turkish Ministry of Commerce at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen Airport, an attempt to smuggle 132 Labubu toys was prevented.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, two passengers arriving in Turkey were taken under control after the mentioned toys were found and seized in their luggage without proper customs declaration.

Note that Labubu is a brand of collectible plush monster toys created by Hong Kong designer Kasing Lung. The toys are sold exclusively in stores of the Chinese retail chain Pop Mart. They have been rapidly gaining popularity recently. 40% of Labubu toy buyers are citizens of foreign countries, and the manufacturing company is pushing out Western competitors in the market. Pop Mart's market capitalization, according to the latest data, has grown to approximately $41 billion. This is more than what well-known American toy manufacturers Mattel and Hasbro earned together.
