Pezeshkian: Iran will not enter negotiations under pressure and threats
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the actions of the United States contradict their declarations about seeking a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
As reported by BAKU.WS, he is quoted by Press TV.
According to Pezeshkian, on one hand Washington declares its readiness for negotiations, while on the other hand it continues to exert pressure on Tehran.
In the opinion of the Iranian president, such a policy does not contribute to resolving the situation.
"Iran will not engage in forced negotiations under pressure, threats, or conditions of blockade (of Iranian ports - ed.)," he emphasized.
It should be noted that a ceasefire regime has currently been established between the US and Iran, however American forces continue to block Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. Only five vessels pass through the strait daily compared to 130 before the conflict began.
