Iran resumed oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz
Iran has begun exporting oil through the Strait of Hormuz for the first time in two months.
This was reported by CNBC, citing data from the analytics firm Kpler.
According to the information, at least three Iranian tankers carrying nearly 5 million barrels of oil have left the Strait of Hormuz area. Two supertankers — Diona and Hero 2, owned by the state-run National Iranian Tanker Company — shipped approximately 3.8 million barrels of crude.
The shipment was the first such delivery in the past two months. According to Kpler, the vessels were able to pass through the area where U.S. Navy forces are present.
Earlier, Fars reported on the passage of Iranian vessels through the U.S. blockade zone in the Strait of Hormuz. Following the Tehran-Washington deal, several vessels crossed the blockade line without obstruction, the agency noted.
