China successfully launched the Shiyan-29 satellite for space observations

China successfully launched the Shiyan-29 satellite into orbit for space monitoring and technological experiments.
This was reported by the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.
As specified on its WeChat page, the launch was carried out at 10:34 Beijing time (06:34 Baku time) from the Xichang Cosmodrome (southwestern Sichuan province). A CZ-3C/YZ-1 rocket was used to place the spacecraft into orbit. This marks the 592nd launch for the "Long March" series of carriers.
The four-stage CZ-3C/YZ-1 with a fairing diameter of 4.2 m reaches 55.6 m in length. It is capable of delivering up to 3.5 tons of payload to sun-synchronous orbit (up to 7.5 tons to low Earth orbit). This is the 170th mission for CZ-3 type rockets, and the 11th in 2025.
Beijing is actively developing its national space program, developing meteorological, telecommunications and navigation satellites and technologies designed for lunar exploration. With state support, Chinese specialists are implementing projects to study asteroids and Mars. China's space station is functioning in orbit, which is also intended for international cooperation. In 2024, China carried out 68 launches.
