Aircraft with the Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army on board crashed in Turkey
The prosecutor's office has begun investigating the causes and circumstances of the Falcon 50 plane crash near Ankara airport.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Turkish Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç on his X social media account.
"The Ankara General Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the crash of an aircraft that departed from Esenboğa Airport and was carrying passengers, including the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Armed Forces, Colonel General Mohammed Ali Ahmed al-Haddad," the minister wrote.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya earlier confirmed the discovery of the aircraft wreckage. "The wreckage of the plane that departed from Esenboğa Airport in Ankara heading to Tripoli was discovered by our gendarmerie units 2 km south of Kesikkavak village in the Haymana district," he wrote on the X social media platform.
Recall that communication with the aircraft was lost at 21:52 Baku time.
