"Black box" of the crashed airplane with Libyan command near Ankara has been found
Turkish rescuers have found the flight recorder of the plane carrying Libyan Armed Forces Chief of Staff Muhammad al-Haddad, which crashed on Tuesday evening near Ankara.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya on the TRT Haber TV channel, who visited the scene of the accident for inspection.
"The black box was found at 02:45 on Wednesday local time (03:45 Baku time - ed.). A comprehensive investigation is being conducted, the results of which will be known in the near future," he said.
According to the minister, the Falcon 50 aircraft departed from Ankara's Esenboga Airport to Tripoli on Tuesday at 20:17 local time (21:17 Baku time - ed.). At 20:32, the crew reported an emergency situation on board and a return to the airport. Communication with the aircraft was lost at 20:36 (21:36 Baku time - ed.). The wreckage of the plane was found at 22:00 (23:00 Baku time - ed.) in the Haymana area in Ankara province.
In turn, CNN Turk reported that the crew of the plane that crashed in Ankara consisted of French citizens.
"There were five people from the military delegation and three crew members on board the aircraft, who were French citizens," the report says.
