A cafe chain in India accepts trash from visitors in exchange for food

A cafe chain in India accepts garbage as payment. This is reported by Good News Network.
In the Indian city of Ambikapur, known as the "city without landfills," several locations of the Garbage Cafe chain operate, where for a kilogram of plastic waste, one can get a full four-course meal, including rice, two types of curry, and dal - a traditional Indian lentil dish.
The cafe serves about 20 people per day on average, collecting about 20 kg of plastic. According to Vinod Patel, one of the managers, this approach not only helps feed the hungry but also contributes to cleaning the city of plastic.
With limited budgets, local authorities don't have the means to implement complex recycling systems, but despite this, they collect and recycle almost all 226 tons of plastic daily.
Similar cafes have appeared in other Indian cities, as well as in Cambodia, where they adopted this idea to address local environmental and social problems.
