Iran and the United States are conducting negotiations behind closed doors.

Pakistan's Ambassador to Russia Faisal Niaz Tirmizi stated this to TASS.

When asked whether there has been progress in contacts between Tehran and Washington, the diplomat responded affirmatively, noting that consultations "are happening right now."

The ambassador declined to answer whether the negotiations are taking place in Islamabad.

"This is not public information, but we are working on it," he said.
