30 thermonuclear bombs: giant volcano threatens global catastrophe

Scientists have confirmed the presence of a giant volcano under the famous American Yellowstone National Park, which could potentially become a source of global catastrophe. Research has shown that beneath the picturesque reserve lies a huge sea of molten magma capable of triggering an eruption of incredible power, equivalent to the explosion of thirty thermonuclear bombs.
The magma chamber lying beneath Yellowstone is impressive in its scale - it extends over an area of about four thousand square kilometers and is located at a depth of up to eight kilometers. Specialists warn: if tectonic plates shift, the hot lava could break through to the surface, causing colossal emissions of ash and gases into the atmosphere, leading to climate changes on a planetary scale.
The consequences of such a natural cataclysm could be truly devastating. Dense clouds of volcanic ash can block sunlight for an extended period, which will lead to a significant decrease in temperature on Earth. This, in turn, could cause massive crop failures and subsequent famine. Scientists do not exclude even a scenario of mass extinction of living organisms.
