Two Azerbaijani boxers advanced to the quarterfinals of the European Championship

Members of the Azerbaijani national team Ali Aliyev (50 kg) and Banuchichek Nasirli (48 kg) have advanced to the quarterfinals of the European U-19 Boxing Championship in Loznica, Serbia.

This was reported by the Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan.

A. Aliyev won his second bout at the tournament against Slovak boxer Adrian Zamečiky with a score of 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 30:27) and advanced to the quarterfinals, where he will face Irishman Christian Jubani on August 18.

B. Nasirli won her first match against Greek boxer Angeliki Petroula Sdouga. In the quarterfinals, the Azerbaijani female boxer will face Poland's Katarzyna Gornisiewicz on August 17.
