Life-extending foods named
During the popular TV show "About the Most Important" on Russia 1 channel, leading specialists - rehabilitation doctor Sergey Agapkin and gerontologist Svetlana Trofimova - shared valuable recommendations about foods that can reduce stress levels and increase life expectancy.
The experts emphasized the critical relationship between stress and life expectancy. According to Trofimova, even positive events can negatively affect a person's health if they are in a state of chronic stress.
The specialists presented a list of foods that can effectively combat stress:
• Oatmeal - a rich source of vitamins B6 and B12, necessary for nervous system health;
• Fermented foods (pickles and fermented dairy products) - natural mood regulators through gut microflora;
• Dark chocolate - a natural antidepressant.
"It's no wonder the gut is called the second brain," the gerontologist confirmed the importance of proper nutrition for emotional health.
