Doctor explained what time it is safe to eat strawberries

Sweet summer berries can bring not only pleasure but also benefits if properly included in the diet. According to kp.ru, Doctor of Medical Sciences, endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova recommends consuming strawberries in the first half of the day due to their high content of simple carbohydrates - glucose and fructose.
"We eat berries in the morning and during the day, until 4 PM. And only as a dessert after the main meal. In the evening, it's better to avoid berries, as well as seasonal fruits, to prevent raising insulin levels at night," the expert emphasized.
Choosing strawberries also requires wisdom. Dietitian Elena Solomatina, in an interview with the newspaper "Izvestia," warned that glossy strawberries without a characteristic aroma should alert buyers - they have likely undergone chemical treatment.
According to Pavlova's recommendation, the optimal daily portion of strawberries is 150-200 grams - approximately five to six large or seven to eight small berries. The expert also noted that if strawberries are used as a snack, they should be combined with protein products - yogurt, cottage cheese, or a small piece of cheese.
It's also worth remembering the possible risks. Nutritionist Ekaterina Guzman, in a conversation with "Gazeta.Ru," noted that strawberries, despite their beneficial properties, are one of the most common allergens and can cause problems with the gastrointestinal tract and kidneys.
