The name of an Azerbaijani judge has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records

The name of the Vice President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, Faig Hasanov, has been entered into the Guinness Book of Records.
This was announced at an event dedicated to the specialist's 85th anniversary.
The gathering was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gaibov, President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation and FIDE Vice President Mahir Mammadov, former head of the International Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, President of the Georgian Chess Federation Akaki Iashvili, five-time world champion and women's chess legend Nona Gaprindashvili, national team member Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, and others.
At the ceremony, it was noted that the jubilee celebrant's name was entered into the Guinness Book of Records as the judge with the longest tenure. Guinness World Records representative Sheyda Subashi stated that the information provided was verified and fully meets the required conditions.
Thus, Faig Hasanov is officially recognized as the male judge with the longest tenure in chess. Hasanov made it into the famous Guinness Book of Records after working as a judge in various chess competitions for 60 years and 149 days. The Guinness World Records representative presented the guest of honor with an official certificate.
It should be noted that the event participants also congratulated three-time European champion and World Rapid Chess Champion Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, who recently turned 40.
